Product Description of Face Lit Channel Letters
Face lit channel letters include trimless channel letters and trim-cap channel letters. Each letter face is translucent, allowing light to shine through. Made of metal and translucent acrylic, they are mounted on the exterior of buildings.
Trimless channel letters
Trimless channel letters are illuminated, 3D letter signs with no visible edges or trim caps. The acrylic surface extends beyond the back, creating a crisp, modern lighting effect when illuminated.
Trimless channel letters are a modern take on LED signage, featuring a stylish design that can showcase your business and brand and attract customers.
They lack a trim cap, allowing the white or clear acrylic on the front face to show through the edge of the track. They can be secured using mechanical fasteners or epoxy chemical adhesives, depending on the size and whether the application is outdoor or indoor.
Because they lack the added stability provided by trim caps, borderless signs are recommended for outdoor, more secure locations or for indoor use in casinos, shopping malls, airports, and other venues.
Trim Cap Channel Letters
A border connects the front edge of acrylic or polycarbonate channel letters to the back edge. It’s suitable for front-lit or dual-lit channel letters. It provides a clean, refined look.
We first cut a sheet of metal into the shape of the desired letter or number using a milling cutter. Then, a metal strip is bent around a backing plate and secured to it to form the letter shell.
The letter shell is then painted in the customer’s desired color and fitted with a light fixture (usually LED). Finally, an acrylic panel in the desired color is cut to size to match the letter shell. Trim caps can be attached to complete trim cap channel letters. Without trim caps, the acrylic and metal letters are glued together to create trimless channel letters.
